In 1967, a group of interested parties met at the historic St. Bartholomew's Church at Prospect to commence the clean-up of the grounds.

 

The Prospect Heritage Trust Inc. under different names grew from this group and has a well deserved record.

 

We are an Historical Society that provides monthly talks on aspects of Australian and Local History, excursions to historical venues, research facilities, St Bartholomew’s cemetery transcription records and a local history museum.  

 

Every year we participate in the Blacktown City Festival and the National Trust Heritage Festival. We are represented on the Committee of the Combined Historical Societies organised by

Blacktown City Council  and also the Historical sub-committee of their Planning Department.

We also participate in the Holroyd and District Historical Forum.
