Reverend Walter Vaughan Rose was Rector of St. Bartholomew’s, Prospect from 1908 until his death on 23 May 1910, at the age of 48.

Reverend Rose was ordained in 1891.

In 1895 Reverend Walter Vaughan Rose married Mary Agnes Hamilton in Waverley. They had two sons, Geoffrey Vaughn and Herbert Eric.

The 1901 census of NSW places Reverend Walter Vaughan Rose at Toogong St., Molong.

The 1902 and 1903 entries in the rate book of the West Ward of North Perth lists:

Walter Vaughan Rose Clergyman.

1903 Reverend Rose was in Boree in the Molong area.

1908 Reverend Walter Vaughan Rose was presented with a silver tea and coffee service and an oak tray by the parishioners of Oberon, prior to his departure to Seven Hills.

Mary Agnes, his widow died 13 January, 1926 aged 65.
